This is a good software,that maybe good enough for you right from the "box".
I am satisfied with the default theme that is clear and understandable to follow.Too many default forum software is second rate,that needs to be replaced.But myBB default theme is already beyond the minimum standard in quality.
The administrative panel is good too.
Try the DEMO and see for yourself,why it is a growing software choice for people.

this is a world's great Forum Script.
i like it, mybb default theme is very professional and clean so you don't need any other theme.
i am use this script on my all 2 forums, all feathers(install mybb mods)

For me, having had tried pretty much all the other solutions on this site (PHP based) and having had been a massive SMF fan, MyBB really did change my mind about the free stuff, especially when you consider that really it is like a DIFFERENT version of vBullitin, which is my main like as it really is EASY TO Use, Manage and Be a User on.
Sorry, but MyBB ALL THE WAY!

Listen, MYbb is very nice! BUT!!!! Be careful. You will find that the plugins and templates have code not advertised such as many google adsense code to the plugin/template owner. It is hard to find it but look at the code very closely. Sorry, but smf or phpbb is much safer.

I'm 13 years old and I know very much about computers and other stuff like that. I have a class-forum wich is based on phpBB 3, but now I saw this beautiful myBB-Board and now I'm really happy to change to MyBB, and the import-tools are very good!

I started using MyBB a couple of months ago. Very nice software, best OSS forum system I've come across in terms of usability, looks, and it's easy to customize and write plugins for. Definitely recommended to anyone. (Downsides are staff and community, security issues kept quiet and bugs not getting fixed, many community plugins come with restrictive license only).

WOW!!! Looked around this and being an ex user of vBulletin (cost too much) I felt right at home mostly everything is the same and it seems to operate just as good if not better!

MYBB is the best free forum software that i have ever used. I used to be a long time SMF users, but after my friend told me about Mybb i thought i should give it a try. I was amazed by the results. The adminCp is really easy and really organized. It's amazing easy to add in plugins and same with the themes. Mybb's admincp actually lets you edit the themes you uploaded directly from the admincp. it's a really nice and easy feature. Mybb has tons of wonderful plugins that are far better than SMF's or any other free forum software. There is a website that has the best mybb mods but you have to pay a 5$ yearly fee to access to all the plugins which isn't so bad. Still there are alot of good plugins and themes on the mybb official site.
Mybb looks slim, nice, and neat. There are alot of nice themes for mybb, bush are kind of too simple. I would like to see more themes like SMF, but simple isn't so bad. It's so easy to edit your themes that you can design one yourself if you know CSS, PHP, and XHTML
