I have tested drupal, Joombla, and Xoops. I must say that e107 only lacks SEO, which I hope they will address in a later version. I love the default forum module. The amount of plugins available to make a practical website is just astounding. I didn't like drupal's "there is a plugin for that" mentality. Drupal required too many plugins to do what I wanted it to do.

It seems that my system got 0wned and turned into a bot because I hadnt kept the e107 software up to date, totally my own fault.

Still one of the better CMS's about, the fact that they have a fix for the bug means that development is ongoing which is a must!

Still one to consider in my book.

I love this cms and always will, despite the fact that I use other cms's. The major pitfall I found for this cms was the themes. I mean have you tried creating a theme for it.. Its not only a ball ake but you end up stripping out half of your template just to make it compatible and work.
Then again, maybe I'm actually missing some thing, I'd love to see more documentation on this as every thing else in the cms is good. Would recommend for personal websites, does every thing you need plus more ! Very easy to customise.

e107 is a fine open source portal platform. I especially like the bridges, making it easy to link to other web applications.

I have tried the rest and can guarantee you that e107 CMS is simply the best.

I like e107 a lot but the problem is (Themes).I know there are too many of them out there, but to tell you the truth most of them are too basic and too clannish to my taste. too bad professional themes hard to find.

Most of the cms I've tried is based on old code and trying to install results in deprecation errors. e107 installed flawlessly. Was easy to configure and customize. There's also a lot of free modules and themes. Although some of the modules, as stated on the download page, didn't work.

This is an excellent CMS. Provided all the major functionalities you want and its very easy to use. I've been using this CMS for years now and comparing it with others, i think its the best one so far. Its a shame to see it not getting more popular.

I've been using e107 for over 5 years, and have found it to be reliable, very stable and easy to manage. I've trialled a number of other systems, but have always come back to e107. It is easy to adapt new plugins, and the range and number of available plugins is great. It is easy to customise the templates and menus. The documentation is not the best, but this is made up for in the extensive forum discussions. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

excellent script! the included 'link words' plugin alone puts e107 a few notches above the rest. It's easy to install, setup and maintain. Security has never been an issue for me or my clients. It's easy to customize the look and layout. e107 just rocks!
