What a weak CMS, not sure what all the fuss is about. You might as well go for CMSMS or WordPress as they are much more flexible and offer much better modules. Also, not the most user friendly system, again built by developers for developers!

I was almost going to use this CMS for my websites but there is one big downside, its not possible to develop extensions for it :S you can only use "snippets" but that's a little silly

Perfect CMS for simple using.
But one big problem - weak image gallery.

I've used this CMS since 4 years and its works easy and great! My clients said its the most and easiest CMS they have ever worked with. Support is great especially when you contribute your own stuff to the community.

If you're not willing to learn basic web-standards, then Etomite (nor any other CMS) is for you....

Tried this a few times and its got to be the worst cms I have ever used and support was really bad.
The support was in fact the worst part so I got no help in getting this thing to do what I wanted.

'Because Etomite is built to run on PHP, using mySQL for the database, you get unbeatable value that is tough to beat.'
Talk about contradicting yourself..

All I want is a simple Content Management System. Etomite by far rocks the other CMS'S in simplicity and function. If you just want to post content without all the Fluff, Goto Etomite, though not a lot of people, the support is awesome on site.

I just wanted to mention that in the etomite configuration panel within the manager you can switch off the annoying text editor (or add other editors, or choose one of the other shipped editors) and just edit html as normal. You can also switch on a code editor to add colour coding and highlighting, as well as line numbers, search and replace etc.
I have been using etomite for a quite some time now and it is incredibly stable, with great error messages for when my own code is wrong (not etomite). It is also fabulous for web applications, and I learned php using Etomite too. Try it. Give it time. You will not regret it. It is about as flexible a web development tool as it is possible to be.

I can't believe this is still in the 'Lite' Category. Simple, yes, but lite? It does anything I've ever needed it to do. As long as I'm not setting up a portal, This is my favorite CMS hands down. Tons of templates, Search-engine-friendly URLs, but my favorite: super flexible design (a designer's dream tool). The developers are readily available for support if needed, and fast too.

Yes the SE Friendly urls are implemented in Etomite, you can have a look at this for example Etomite Permalinks. Now can it get any better ?

Etomite is lite, but still a good choice of content management sysmtem on small sites. Seems to me that SEF (Search Engine Friendly) urls engine is still not implemented here...

Except Joomla, this is my favorite CMS. It looks so fresh and simple, I really wish to see this project in further development.
