This has been my CMS of choice for quite some time now. As a freelance webdeveloper I often have to use competing systems such as Drupal or Joomla. In the end Cotonti wins it hands down when it comes down to flexibility and performance. The Cotonti template engine is the fastest I've seen and building plugins is a breeze when using Cotonti's library of functions.

My company specializes in custom built web applications ranging from corporate intranet sites to complex applications to small near-static websites.

This is one of the most flexible CMS systems out there, your correct it's not for newbies but it is not that hard to get the hang of how things work. I would suggest this CMS to everyone.

    I really love it!

I've tested it, it's fast & extremely lightweight, I agreed with Geoff that it's not for newbies. It has RSS, gzip, SEF url and a forum out-of-the-box, that's what I want, I like it.

Gave this CMS a shot. Some nice features, especially the organisation of document Categories and associated sub-categories. The user of the 'Path' variable helps assign a tree-like structure for your online content. Very cool. Most of the things I like for content creation are included, like tags, access/view permissions. However the biggest bug-bear for newbies ( I reckon), is that there is no way to organise blocks (or panels - for those who use PHP Fusion) through the Admin GUI/Control Panel. It looks as if you will have to amend your blocks by editing the /index.html file. Not good, particularly if you make a small mistake, you could render your site as good as dead!
