I made the last years all my websites with IMPRESSCMS. it´s really easier, beter, faster, stronger then any other CMS. Best thing are the speed-instalation (4 min.) the new modules and the simple way to give a theme a new "face".

I am very satisfacted of Impresscms as websites building tool: intuitive, very customisable, rich of features, rich of mudules. And this last version 1.2 is good AJAXed and faster. Impossibile to do not try

ImpressCMS moves strongly forward. Swift, stable and probably the most intuitive of all cms around. Most promising also 2009 [packtpub]. ...being also very powerful it's a cms to go for now.

Or what do you say about the projects new education course for new module developers!? (http://community.impresscms.org/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=440&com_id=2187&com_rootid=2187&#comment2187) Amazing! Join the project or just use it!

ImpressCMS is a state of the art easy to understand open source cms. Easily installed modules functions (blocks) is placed on your website via an easy to "see" positioning system. Nice performance too. Rated "most promising 2008", a broad range of modules (~30+ actively updated) and 200+ themes (all open Source) since it is a fork of the old Xoops project. ImpressCMS is a driving fork and some of the heaviest core developers has moved into it. ImpressCMS has 20+ active developers and an intelligent roadmap for planned development. ImpressCMS uses php and mySQL (most common) and can be installed in ~10-30 minutes, also for newbies. Very swift actually. At the moment 1.1.2 final and 1.2 on it's way (alpha). Go get it now!

There isn't any documentation on how to add content and work with this system. Installation and administration is only a very small part of any website. CONTENT is what every website is all about.

    I did like the simplicity.

Wonderful! Very helpful community supporting a fantastic application. I used XOOPS for years and just wanted to try out ICMS, I started with the new 1.1 release... and the features are amazing... long awaited, and exceptional. My new CMS of choice! Also, the talks I have read about the 1.2 release goals, and 1.3 release ideas are awesome. keep up the great work ICMS Team!

ImpressCMS is a forked dev of xoops. Don't be surprised by it. The devs are taking it in a very promising direction. My CMS of choice.

Paul it's bound to look a lot like XOOPS, ImpressCMS is a fork of XOOPS. ImpressCMS 1.0 saw a move from XOOPS and the next version 1.1 adds many features that people have asked for years. 1.1 is already available in Alpha phase, but still worth testing.

Paul, ImpressCMS is a fork of Xoops, which means that they've taken a version of Xoops and made some improvements. Then they released that version. Try it, you'll like it.
